First, what a hell of a night on Wednesday! One of the most exciting nights of baseball I have ever seen. I hope this is an indicator of what to expect in the playoffs...should be a lot of fun.

Down to business. I plan on capping all of the games this postseason and will put my picks down right here along with write ups

Be back with Friday's games later today.

Rays vs. Rangers (Gm 1)

CJ Wilson has great numbers against TB. In 112 ABs, TB only 17 hits which is .152 BA, only 7 RBIs, and CJ is striking out about 1 per inning pitched. CJ has faced TB three times this season going for a complete game shutout last outing, 6 innings 2 ER before, and 6.2 innings 3 ER in the first appearance. CJ has proven himself against the Rays. Moore hasn't faced the Rangers yet but supposedly has good stuff. CJ with playoff experience and Moore with very little MLB experience overall. I give the pitching advantage to Texas. The Rangers also have the advantage on offense. Plus, they have the home advantage as well. Texas won the season series 5-4. All signs point to Texas in this first game of the playoffs.

TEXAS RANGERS -174

I got nothing on the Tigers-Yankees game. Two great pitchers going at it, two really good bullpens, and two powerful offenses. Verlander and Sabathia's numbers are very similar against each other's opponent. Passing on this one.

You know what that means take the Tigers + 1 1/2 = easy money

I really liked Det +1.5 but I just couldn't lay -200 with the Yankees bats in mind. It's moot now anyhow

Rangers game was a bad start in the post season; sorry to all that followed at my advice. I hope to make that loss back.

Tomorrow:

Brewers -140
Philly -200
Rangers -115
