Has anyone ever been?

Some friends and myself are planning on going this year. None of us have been to a NASCAR race so we need help with seat locations or must do's/don'ts in regards to that weekend.

eg. seat location, catch more than Sundays race?, places to stay, rent RV?

Please advise
Thanks!

Was there many moons ago............
I did a Google search for seating and found this link
http://www.tickco.com/choose_seats/nascar/nascar_daytona.htm

This is the seating chart
http://www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com/Seating-Maps/Seating-Chart.aspx
Good action between turn 4 & 1
So my choice by section name and order would be, Segrave, Roberts, Campbell, Weatherly,
Keech, Depalma, Lockhart (anything in Yellow is a must if you wanna pay for it)
I'm glad I had good binoculars, and when the boys are in the backstretch, walk down to the wall........I just about lost my shit when they came screaming by

Have Fun

Don't sit in Keech, horrible view. Anything past the Start/Finish line is hard to see. I have had tickets in Deplama since the late 70's and they are ok. The best seat in the house by far a box. If you can afford it. If not I would say this. Go down for speedweeks and go to qualifying, go to the twin 125's, and hang around the track and venues on those days. I would not go to the race on Sunday due to the crowds, it is brutal. I used to go all the time and fighting the traffic and crowds, waiting in line for an hour to take a piss is not worth it anymore. Qualifying and the 125's are the most fun for me because there is not that many people at the track, you can take in your cooler and kind of sprawl out and take up about 2-3 seats and not be crowded. On Sunday you have about 18 inches of seat and thats it. Not very fun. I would rather watch the race on TV in the AC and have my own fridge and my own john if needed. Trust me, Nacar is not what it use to be and not worth the headache.
