Vikings 0-4
Rams 0-4
Fins 0-4
Colts 0-3
Jags 1-3
Panthers 1-3
Seahawks 1-3
Chiefs 1-3
Broncos 1-3
Browns 2-2
Bengals 2-2

Who do you guys like? I got the Colts
Losing Manning wasn't bad enough; their best secondary player and only linebacker who can tackle both on IR iirc

I think this is actually a guy worth tanking for, and that rarely happens in the NFL draft

P.S. Philly fans, sorry i forgot to include the eagles at 2-2 on the list

After today I would be willing to wager that Andrew Luck is a Minnesota Viking next year

I dont think INDY would take him.
They are the only team that has a chance to lose enough games to get him that would not pick him unless Manning's injury is a career ender.
There is too much career left for manning then to sit Luck for that many years.
The very last thing indy would ever do is do anything to piss manning off or to make manning feel any pressure of retiring early.
They dont want another Favre/Rodgers thing to happen to them even though it worked out great for the Green.

Manning gets the JoePA treatment. He stays for as long as he wants.

Think you're way off here. Manning isn't an attention whore like brett favre. Quite the opposite.
Luck could sit behind him 3 years max I would say. Manning i think has 4 years on his extension after this season. I can see Manning retiring a year early.
Then there's always the possibility Manning comes back and needs another neck surgery and then he's done for good anyway. That could happen at any time.
It would probably take Luck 3 years to truly master the offense. If there's ever a situation where you want a QB in waiting for multiple years, it's Indy.
Look at the pats and ryan mallett. It looks like this is what they are doing with him. You think mallett is going to throw a fit and ask for a trade so he can start somewhere else? And throw away the chance to win rings under belichick?

You really think the Rams would draft Luck right after drafting Bradford?

Hell no. But I wantd to put every team with a really bad record up there, plus 2-2 teams that would probably draft him if they had the chance
I doubt the Panthers would draft him, unless Cam really shits the bed, so far so good though
But you never know what a front office will do I guess

Problem is with most of the bottom dwellers is that they are going to need a LOT more than Luck to climb out of their hole. He may be a franchise player but that requires a franchise to make it all work.

Of course if I'm right that blows the doors open and the rights to drafting Luck go to the highest bidder regardless of who picks first because the flood gates will be open to that team and obscene offers will be flying in.

Basically it's who needs a QB and can afford to pay the piper to get him? Perhaps a lot of cash and maybe a half dozen draft picks (or more) for the next 2 years? I wouldn't be surprised to see some lucky bottom feeder with a decent arm already in tow cash in and be set with a whole lot more than Luck is worth... practically speaking, if there is such a thing.

Harbaugh (Jim) would just love to have him back and I'm sure the feeling goes both ways. But can the DeBartolos afford him? But then again in time they will probably do alright regardless.

yeah 49ers would be interesting, but they won't lose enough games apparently
I don't see any way a team trades the 1st pick rights unless it's the Rams

Hey , just a thought .. have you met Pat Angerer yet. Currenty leads the league in tackles. Not saying Brackett isnt the man but to say hes their only linebacker who can tackle is completely false.

After I made the OP i realized I forgot about Pat. I didn't think it was worth editing. Obviously I was wrong. So the Colts have 1 guy on their defense who can make a tackle. Corrected.

I think that's going to be their problem with winning games more than Curtis Painter. Painter eventually will be able to put up a decent number for the Colts, but their defense will have a hard time stopping anyone. They have the Jags twice; maybe they can win one of those meetings. Week 17 at Jacksonville might be the deciding game on the Luck sweepstakes.

Gotta be honest and I hope this doesn't happen but I'd bet on Miami getting him if I had to bet on 1 team.

They had Marino and haven't had a franchsie QB forever, they have been getting owned by Brady for a decade now. More than any other team they know how important a franchise QB is. Not to mention they actually have some good weapons on O with Marshall, Bess and a legit left tackle.

Colts are a smart org too and I can see them tanking to try to get #1 since it'll give them options (keep and groom, trade, whatever) Those are probably the two frontrunners so to speak.

Is there a dumber team in the nfl right now than my seahawks, why the hell are you trying to win any games? Tavaris Jackson isn't the answer, a season of 3-4 wins gets you nothing and you're out there battling for what? Get a legit qb, I hope the fins find a way to win a few so my team can get back into the hunt otherwise they're my pick to land him. Colts should be in position to take him but there is slight hope they could do something to get out of taking him. Rams have no need and Vikes, yikes, come on mcnabb

NFL teams don't really tank. HOWEVER, it could be a brilliant play long-term starting tavaris over whitehurst, the latter having a better shot to win games. i think everyone agrees on that, right?

Brackett is out. This is who i was referring to in the op.

Yes I realize that and you counted him as the only one in your op, i added him to the list with angerer .. was a joke but none the less the team has 2 one on the IR and one active. :)
