Garcia Has Some Good Numbers vs The Phils ....

Against Philadelphia over his career, going 2-0 with a 0.96 ERA and .179 opponents’ BA over four starts, all St. Louis wins. Few of the Phils have had success against him: Hunter Pence is 3-for-15 career, and Ryan Howard (2-for-12, 6 K), Jimmy Rollins (1-for-11), Placido Polanco (2-for-11), Shane Victorino (2-for-9) and Chase Utley (0-for-6) have done next to nothing against Garcia.

Just passing along some info for those who are interested .........

When Garcia faced the Phils back in May, they had a lineup of Ben Francisco, Michael Martinez, Mayberry before he was sent down, Wilson Valdez and Dane Sardinha catching. Not taking anything away from Garcia but sometime you need to look a little deeper at the numbers. What does all this mean for today. Nothing

also he pitched his other game against them when Philadelphia just started that big losing streak on sept 16th.

I'll give you a number that was pretty amazing about Cliff Lee. When staked to a four run lead he was 94-1 in his career before the other night.
