yanks- to hard to bet against nova. this coming from a yankees fan and someone holding a tigers series ticket. i might buy out, but if i do the yanks will double kill me. so i guess its my team advances and i spent a few bucks to see it happen or i make a few bucks to drown my sorrow.

Keep in mind, Robertson and Rivera can go for AT LEAST 9 outs today. Joe Girardi will not hesitate to put Rivera in as early as the middle of the 7th inning if they are in trouble and protecting a slim lead. He is rested and ready to go. And it's not like he's never recorded 7+ outs before in a playoff game. Robertson is rested as well, so if they are ahead after 5 innings, Detroit is in a ton of trouble.

As a Ranger fan, I'd def rather play the Yankees in ALCS.

On the other hand, if Detroit wins I have a ticket to game one of ALCS

tough game IMO, Verlander might be pitching at some point today.

Hard to bet against the Yanks at home in a big spot like this.

I would imagine your looking for a 20 inning marathon ? .....
Bol with your team in the next round .

i think i said that same thing a day or 2 ago. use up those bullpens baby. I wanna see CC pitch the 13-16th innings.
Verlander has to pitch 2 innings...the bullpen is depleted! epic game we'll be talking about for years!

unpossible to happen, but a guy can dream

which is.....interesting. come on Verlander could go an inning if needed. Maybe Leyland is trying to get his pitchers to focus because there is no savior coming to bail them out....

then again, the way the yanks hit V....probably best he stays a cheerleader

still wouldn't be suprised if he pitched

Verlander said after Game 3 that he would "get in [Leyland's] ear" about trying to make a relief appearance in Game 5, if needed. http://detroit.tigers.mlb.com/news/...05&content_id=25511086&vkey=news_det&c_id=det

but the Detroittigers home page did say he was not going to play, It did say CC was available.

ever see verlander on short rest? threw 50 pitches friday, then 115 on monday...he isnt pitching tonight... but i really dont care, bring him in, his career ERA pitching on short rest is over 6....... i dont think CC pitches either, too many guys in the BP with fresh arms, hughes, sori, robertson, mo... the two aces wont be touched

I am probably laying off this game, I wouldnt play it in the regular season, really no reason to force it in the playoffs.

I have a big $30 on Tigers Series at +130 so no mas for me.

It was pretty much founded on my belief the two teams were very closely matched and that any price on Yankees pre-series would be unduly inflated.

Though I like the ARZ teamtotal Over for Friday and if 5dimes offers up that line in time, I might do a $10-12 2teamer using that along with DET +150 (would pay about 4x1)
