fister in his career has pitched one good start against yanks, that was in seattle and yanks hit the ball very very hard against him but at safeco its tough to hit the long ball... the first start against yanks this year he gave up 5 or 6 er in yanks stadium, the last start against yanks he gave up 7 in 4 innigs? something like that...... yanks usually hit the tigers BP very hard so fister needs to replicate what mr verlander did and go deep or else the yanks will start putting up runs in bunches in the 6th 7th 8th ........
nova against tigers lineup will still be tough but if nova can get his 2seamer (sinker) down down down he will be fine, he cant be too pumped up and try to blow it up by the tigers because one or two long balls can really damage him, even though he has only given up 1 HR this year with runners on base... he needs to get that sinker down
if fister is off his game yanks roll, fister needs to get ahead of the yanks and try to beat them with movement, he wont blow it by any yanks, he needs to get ahead and stay ahead if he is off his game a bit and tries to hang one of his 70mph meatballs, any yankee will take him deep
arod 4 hard hit balls 2 hits in his last game, tex 2 hits and one lineout to left his last game......if these two heat up, this will be a long game for mr fister
i am shocked tigers arent throwing scherzer out there, he dominated the yanks this year and in his last start....if i were the tigers i wouldnt trust fister against the yanks at home....
when it comes down to it.... yanks just want nova to go 5.... if he goes 5 with the lead ill say its game over....... soriano and logan to match up in 6th robertson in 7th, mo in the 8th and 9th and this game is over...with the yanks BP they shorten a 9 inning game to a 5 or 6 inning game so yanks will try to get a lead early, get nova to let the tigers roll over some pitches, then BP it up and wait for saturday...........
but if fister is on and nova throws a cookie to miggy or vmart and the game is in the tigers favor, i still dont trust that tigers bp to be able to stop the yanks from putting up runs at home

one thing about yanks bats is if they are in a short series like this and they face a pitcher twice they always pound him the second time around....

as for the side, I wouldnt lay -160 on any playoff game, ecspecially not game 5, and you get the better pitcher +150. with that being said Im still having a hard time taking detroit.
this game to me is obviously a no play on the side or take a small chance at the +money, Detriot showed they could win at yankee stadium already in this series.
and for the total id play under if I was playing a total, but both these pitcher can give up runs too.

one thing i disagree on...fister better pitcher than nova? 16-4, spent month in the minors under 4 era in the AL east, 13-0 in his last 16 starts.....
fister pitched in the two biggest ballparks in the major leagues, in sept he faced the indians, royals, white sox....nova faced red sox, rays, bluejays..... dont let the numbers get to you

5 Dimes offering Cano total bases against Cabrera at -105.....In the last matchup of these two pitchers, Cano punished Fister for 6 total bases, and got a double off of the bullpen. Cabrera was 0 for 3 in the game with one strikeout.
I will gladly take Cano. There is a small possibility that Cabrera gets one more at bat, but I will take that chance.

i absolutely hate the yankees but fister is going to have to lights out and the yanks will have to get unlucky as in hit balls right at people. Already said before but at home better bats much better pitcher and cant overlook the bullpen with CC being available and MO able to go 2 could essentially be a 5-6 inning game for the yanks
