Postseason ytd: Strong Plays 1-3 -10.25 units // Juice Plays 2-2 -2.88 units // Action Plays 2-2 -0.33 units

Having a rather tough postseason while posting.

Strong Play

Detroit -105 -- Justin Verlander should be enough here. This guy is an absolute beast and one of the most dominate pitchers I have EVER seen. CJ wilson is tough, and the rangers are at home, but give me JVP and the Tigers lineup anyday. This is a bigger than normal play for me. (to win 8 units)

careful on this one......righty vs a lefty at the ballpark in arlington with a south wind, which means a jet stream is big time advantage for the rangers. you have to have lefties in arlington. the wind is supposed to be the same tomorrow as it was today, and it was def jet stream wind today.

verlander is obviously a bad ass, and the tigers can hit too. but cj isnt bad himself (best home record in mlb the last 2 years, in a hitters park i should add), and the rangers can hit too. i understand the reasoning for the play which is verlander, but texas has the advantage in this game when you acct for the wind and left handed pitcher

Verlander is not a righty, he is thee righty. Less lefties in the league = less chances to get units. +7 isnt bad.

surprising. Verlander 5+ ERA in the postseason

on first glance, i'm actually surprised Texas is -135 already. I'm expecting most of these games to be a pickem.

Well after that, I am stopping loss in the post season and going to call it a year in baseball

For future reference when the south wind is blowing at this park it blows in from Right field, but what I have seen it is has little to no effect in Arlington.

you have no idea what your talking about.......you are right a south wind is blowing in from right field, BUT YOU ARE WAAAAY WRONG IF YOU THINK IT HAS NO EFFECT ON A GAME HERE. A south wind blows in from right, and then goes off the bleachers or something and blows back out to right field in a hurry. High fly balls are not effected much, line drives are what get in the jet stream to right and right center. Michael Young has made a hall of fame type career hitting double to right center in the jet stream, tape measure hr are often hit because of the jet stream. The summer south wind is what makes the ballpark in arlington the highest scoring stadium in MLB. If you dont have lefty ground ball pitchers in arlington, your at a hug disadvantage.

I was at the game last night. Got there at 400 and the south wind was blowing in the parking lot. Walked into the stadium at 530 ish and the wind had pretty much changed to a north wind to no wind at all. And also just so you know, the ballpark is a good ways below street level so a wind blowing out from the north, has little effect on the game, gotta hit a ball really really high to have any effect.
Just a little hint for you, when the flags are pointing in, the ball is carrying in arlington. dont forget that
