I was looking at the amount of people that were on the forum when it was slow.. And it was around 2200... And it was hard to get on.. Now there's 2700+ and the forum is working fine.. Wtffff... Makes me think that it's not high traffic, but they slow down the server purposefully so that we start getting aggravated and start buying picks...

It is not the traffic. The RX has been under a DDOS attack every Sunday and at various times throughout each day. This has been occuring for nearly two weeks now. Our tech support was standing by to try and block the expected attack today but it is an extremely malicious attack and is primarily directed to shut down our site 45 minutes before kick-off of the early games of the NFL and then let up shortly after the start of the games.

Ted, with all due respect, please don't act so flabergasted and put out with the "Guys!" retort. If the Rx has been under DDOS attack "EVERY" Sunday and this has been occuring for nearly two weeks now..then that would constitute last Sunday and This Sunday...2 Sundays...which is two to many. Now instead of trying to come up with excuses about how "malicious" these attacks are, identify the source and combat it. This is not rocket science. There is no reason this site should succomb to these attacks on Sunday between 12:20 and 1:00 p.m. Eastern time and us as customers (users) of this site accept it. Your customers are frustrated; get this corrected.
Cut them some slack.. there is only so much that you can do to stop these kind of attacks. As we all know.. It's not like there is a better a forum out there to go to.. That's why we are all here and so upset that the server is having issues. Because, we all know that RX is the best..

I'm not trying to make up excuses, just letting everyone know that it has nothing to do with traffic volume. The owners of the site are aware of the problem and are putting resources on it continuously. Don't kill the messenger!

Ted, I'm not killing the messenger; I appreciate your explanation. I was simply trying to convey the frustration of the forum and would hope that the sense of urgency to correct this problem is heightened. I am glad to hear that the owners of the site are aware of the problem and are putting resources on it continuously. I'm sure there won't be a problem going forward if they're on it. Thank you Ted.
