what hc candidates are out there that make sense? that fit w the personnel they already have?
safe to say this would have to be a west coast offense guy? vick just spent 3 yrs learning it why would you want him to start over again

First guy i thought of, but they are from the same tree, seems like it would be a little incestuous. i guess if gruden doesnt get along w reid he wouldnt care though. or maybe he wouldnt care anyway. hes probably getting sick of jaws.

would be a pretty nice head coaching re-entry position for him

during the vikings / cards game i heard the play by play guy say something about mcnabb and how great he was and 5 nfc championship games
and of course said to myself who cares he only won one of those
reid has to still be carrying that around in the eyes of the ownership and certainly the fans, compounded with 3 "big" , season making games in a row that they have lost

Reid Isn't going anywhere.. He makes the playoffs almost every year.. One bad year wont seal his fate.. If anything his little experiment with making his offensive line coach the DC will be squashed and when Steve Spagnulo gets fired by the Rams he will Hire him to coach the Defense since he used to be there coaching the Linebackers.. But Eagles next 4 games at Washington,Home against Dallas,Chicago and Arizona..They could easily win the next 4.

The Chicago Game wont be an easy one. The eagles better come out desperate like they did sunday night...If they can get by Chicago I believe they will win the division. The Giants Schedule is brutal ,Dallas is way too inconsistent and Washington is toast..

making the playoffs alone might not be enough...if they get there and dont look good someone could get the axe

still..they are only 3-4...this is only one win off a bye where they looked like they maximized their potential...they wont have that extra week to prep for every teams blitz scheme they face in the future...but they looked awesome last night

public perception in the nfl is very reactionary...nfl fans tend to be this way in part because of the media always looking to hype a story...its just one game and its unrealistic to expect this caliber of performance every week. but i would say they go 6-3 , maybe 7-2 if lucky, the rest of the way, barring a vick injury (a VERY real possibility).. if they go 6-3, is 9-7 good enough? i would expect losses vs pats, jets, at cowboys...and you never know when a big dog on that schedule gets a sneaky win...it happens

the cowboys defense was a total mess last sunday night...dont underestimate that

Good call

Eagles 9-7 at best, probably 8-8, likely not enough for the playoffs with Falcons, Bucs, Lions, etc all in the WC mix

I agree 9-7 at best.. Defense killed them again and Desean Jackson short arming a 3rd down over the middle.. That pretty much sealed his fate they will never give him a contract now.. Bring in Spagnulo to run the defense he wont be long for St Louis after their performance in Arizona..
