the answer depends on what email client you used to retrieve it (is it yahoo mail? hotmail? do you use a software like outlook or thunderbird?)

depending on the email client you have so are the steps you need to see the headers, in the headers you will find the IP that sent it , then you can go to a site like ip2location.com and put the IP and find some info, this is not necessarily accurate as a sophisticated sender can hide/mask himself as 'someone' else

I use yahoo email and so do they.

What Wolfie said, use the expanded header option in mail, cut and paste into any ip lookup function, there's your answer.
