I guess I've never paid that close attention because I've certainly never noticed it before, but I'm watching the Rangers/Tigers came and Andrus was on first. They zoomed in on the Rangers 1st base coach who had a stop watch in his hand and was timing Benoit's delivery to the plate.
Obviously, when scouting, coaches should "time" opposing pitchers but it seems against the spirit of baseball to allow a coach on the field to "time" the opposing pitcher.
Maybe that's just me but was curious what others thought about it.
