Irish Bookies taking bets on Michael Jackson trial. Is this taking it too far?

Makes perfect sense to me.

I am not sure if ethically one is supposed to bet on stuff like this. I will say that if I was betting, I would lay pretty big odds that he gets convicted of something.

So.....it's ethical to bet on as long as your betting on the side of him being convicted. Got it.

I dont have a problem with it. My problem is books taking bets on events involving minor children (little league world series , high school football , etc ) i dont blame the degenerate gamblers that bet on these events as i once after bowling league bet a guy 25 bucks who could get the most m&m's out of a candy machine , but the books have enough stuff to take bets on that they should'nt be taking action on childrens events. ... just my 2 cents.

no problem at all...i am sure many were waiting for steve jobs to die and then "bet" on Apple one way or another....if you feel a certain way about it, abstain, but i personally have no issue with it

I have no problem with books booking whatever people want to bet on....as long as the events can't easily be fixed.

what site can i get some action on this stuff?

I dont mind betting on kids.....when I was in high school....had a friend at a rival school and would bet him all the time...if i knew books had lines I could've made some cash.....if they are easily fixed then i have a problem.

I think where i draw the line is when we are betting on kids close to us where we can influence them and punish them for losing a bet for us
