Heading to my favorite poker series of the year....

Horseshoe Hammond (Chicago) Wsop series. I hit 3 Wsop series events a year, for at least a week long session.

Wsop Vegas
Wsop Tunica
Wsop Hammond

Of the three series I believe Hammond is the best run series. This series gets the largest turnout of all stops other than Vegas. The tournament staff are great, the casino is clean, and it happens to be my "home turf." I historically run extremely well in both ring and tournament play here. I will be playing in almost every event this series. I have already won a free seat into the main. If anyone happens to be in town for the series drop me a pm, I'll buy a beer.

I will be at the WSOP next summer again for the main event. But I cant make it to Hammond. I do plan on going to Biloxi and New Orleans WSOP circuit events

5/10nl...5am this morning....I ran my original 1k BI up to 2125.. On button Pick up AA. Original raiser opens for 35, two callers come along, small blind raises to 165. I raise to 450. Original raiser calls. Both original callers drop. Small blind shoves for 2800. I call, original raiser calls off his 1800 stack.

Both guys hold kk....AA holds for a hefty 6k+ pot...

Original buyin 1k....cashout 3.5 hours later 6700.

Believe me....I paid my dues and losses learning the ropes live in the late 90's early 2000's. I've been a winning player for about 7 years...but the first 4-5 were brutal.

I will try to keep you guys updated.

As of now....

-350 in tourney buyins
+8620 in cash...mainly 5/10 with a few 2/5 sessions

I'm on the wait list now for a 5/10.....plan on grinding through the night.

Here is a good bad beat story for you.

My buddy that accompanies me to these events who also holds a Wsop bracelet comes into day 2 of the 1k nl event 2nd in chips with only 18 remaining players. He raises pre to 18k, chip leader raises to 48k, original raiser raises to 120k, chip leader shoves, original raiser calls.

Board comes 2,3,6 rainbow turn A river 5

My buddy holds KK
Chip leader holds 56 off.............yuck!

Wednesday is the my next event. The stimulus event.

So what name do we look for?

My friend just finished and made the final table of the Monday $350 event.

Check out the hand that knocked him out. I was watching it on the net. He went all in preflop for around 400,000 chips with pocket queens. A guy with around 650,000 calls him with pocket 5's after he had reraised preflop. Flop comes 5-3-queen. Turn is a blank and the river is the fucking case 5!

But he did make the money in 2 events in a row though, but he is still pissed

Won a stt for a seat into the 1600 main. I planned on just paying my way in, but I ran into a friend I usually only see in tunica during the series. He was waiting for a stt to start, so I said why not. The cash games are pretty soft durring the events, you would think it would be the contrary.
