Man Sues Burger King Over Needles In Burger

HONOLULU (Associated Press) -- A Hawaii-based soldier who says he swallowed needles that were hidden in a Burger King hamburger is suing the fast food chain.
Army Staff Sgt. Clark Bartholomew filed the federal lawsuit in Honolulu this week. He says he bought a Triple Stacker burger at a Schofield Barracks Burger King in December and took it home to eat.
Bartholomew claims one needle pierced his tongue and he was hospitalized for six days after another needle was found in his small intestine.
A manager at the Burger King on Kolekole (KOH'-le-KOH'-le) Avenue declined to comment Friday, and a spokesman for Burger King Corp. said he couldn't immediately comment.

would be a risky but interesting scam. somehow, accidentally eating a needle. and instead of just going straight to the hospital going to a big food chain and blaming them. or purposely eating a needle. either way ouch

DUNDEE, Mich. (AP) — Police say a family found a marijuana pipe inside a Kids Meal bought for a 4-year-old boy at a Burger King restaurant in southern Michigan.
Dundee police report that a 23-year-old employee says he put the pipe in the box to hide it while he worked and he didn't mean to give it out.
Chief David Uhl tells the Monroe Evening News that a family from the Detroit suburb of Warren was in the area for a visit to the Splash Universe water park.
He says the boy's grandfather entered the restaurant Tuesday night to pick up some food. The chief says the family discovered the pipe and notified police.
Uhl says police arrested the employee and two friends, ages 18 and 20. All three are awaiting charges.
