Barring something unusual I don't see how Dawson loses tonight. He has wanted this fight for years and a motivated Dawson will be way too much for Hopkins. Bernard will simply not be able to match Dawson's punch output and physical advantages. Sure Hopkins is "crafty" and has a very good skill level but he lacks power to make up for his below average recent output, as primarily a defense minded fighter has reduced reflexes at his advanced age, and will be the smaller, slower, weaker man in the ring tonight.

Unlike many I think this will be an exciting fight, at least coming from Dawson. There is the general idea Dawson is nothing more then a bigger Mayweather, in terms of aggression, but I really believe he is capable (when motivated) to put on a crowd pleasing display if called upon. After his lazy performance which resulted in his first L to Pascal I think he will step up and perform well in this critical moment for his career.

Dawson to win a strong bet at odds below -150. Personally think he has a good shot at stopping Hopkins and odds of 6-1 and better are quite tasty...

What a fight!!! :lolBIG:

Hopkins should be banished from boxing, the guy is a disgrace. Obviously faking injury (despite what his paid for doctors will tell everyone) and QUIT thinking he would get the sleazy DQ victory. Don't know how a man his age acts this way, a lot (...well a couple) of people paid and or came out to watch this main event and he turns it into a complete fiasco. Guy isn't even a good actor, the pitiful looks on his face after getting up and pretending to be injured were laughable.

It will be a win for boxing if this decision stands and Hopkins doesn't get his belt back, I can't imagine what the turnout would be for his next fight considering his mainstream appeal was horrible before this. Unfortunately the decision will likely be changed to a no contest in the next few days.

Boxing is a joke. Just when you thought you seen it all. I don't know why people would shell out 50 bucks to see this garbage. Public never gets to see the fights they want to see. This is the reason MMA is so much better. Those fights always live up to their billing.

Dawson is nothing to begin with. He won't do 1/50th of what the X has done

imo a prime Dawson would be beat a prime Hopkins.

There's a reason why Hopkins has ducked Dawson for years and when he finally got in the ring tried to escape within two rounds. Now he obviously is unlikely to have the same type of career in terms of length but Dawson is hardly nothing. A good candidate for pound for pound best as I expect he will dominate the light heavy division over the next 3-4 years.

I feel bad for anyone who paid to watch this mess, but at the same time wonder why anyone would spend their money on a Hopkins fight. He has had a hall of fame career and is a physical freak at 40whatever but his fights have been unwatchable since I was a kid and he stopped Trinidad. Retire into the sunset and invest wisely Bernard. From highlight I saw both guys should be paid for training expenses and a small appearance fee and give the rest back to the consumer.
