Watching him during the TN game, he can barely turn his head to the left. Yea, may have been only a short time since surgery, but he isn't a spring chicken any more

No one knows. After you have back/neck surgery you are not supposed to move your spine much for a few months. Not saying he will play again, but neck stiffness now does not mean anything. Check back in 2-3 months and if his neck is still stiff, it's a problem.

my grandfather wasnt supposed to walk again after a tree rolled over his back and broke it into about a million pieces.
25 years later he still gets around pretty good.
i think you might be jumping the gun a little bit, doctor.

Your gramps isn't a NFL QB taking shots from 250lb LB's either.

Glad to hear he is up and about

No doctor will release him to get hit playing football ever again. The area of concern could possibly kill him if the cord gets bruised by a big hit. How he or anyone would consider putting a helmet on ever again is beyond me.

yeah he was a little old to play the football but played plenty of softball after he wasnt supposed to walk again.

im pretty sure the issue with peyton comes down to nerve regeneration and how quickly that happens is impossible to predict, even for people who have degrees in this stuff, present company included.
the fact that he was cleared to stand on the sideline this quickly since his most recent surgery is probably a pretty good sign, because he could be blindsided by a 250 lb linebacker on the sideline at any moment, joe pa style.

I hope he comes back next year and is as good as ever. NFL season honestly isn't the same without him (just like it wasn't the same w/o Brady in '08) NFL doesn't rely on stars as much as NBA but still, you wanna see em out there.

I don't get how he locked down a $100 million dollar extension with a busted neck. Had Peyton been black he wouldn't have seen a dime unless he was 110%. You saw how the Titans treated McNair when he was still under contract. The Titans locked him out of the facilities during negotiation time.

Manning's 3 TD passes spur Broncos' comeback

Manning was 13 of 14 for 167 yards in the second half for the Broncos (3-3) who tied the Chargers (3-3) atop the AFC West. It tied for the fourth-biggest regular-season comeback in NFL history.

Also is the first time a team has lead by 21 or more and lost by double digits
