stanford would not go up and down the field on either of those teams,it would be a whole different ballgame.pac-12 has and never had the word defense in their conference so don't even bother going there.they would not beat either team bottom line

....and everybody said that about Ohio State vs Miami.

Everyone said that about Kansas State vs OU in the Big 12 title game. Everyone said that about USC vs Texas

Thats the problem with college football, most of these scenerios never get played out. Just have speculation and end up with exhibition games in December and January. Until these teams play, we'll never know. History is full of woulda shoulda and coulda !!

With Oklahomas loss, Stanford now just has to keep winning and they are in the BCS championship game

They should be ranked #3 with Wisconsin & Oklahoma losing. If they beat ND they will have the chance!

I'll drink to that matchup but there's still a lot of football to be played. Stanford goes to USC, then Oregon and finishes with Notre Dame and of course this year there is a Pac 12 conference playoff so let's not count our chickens just yet. Boise State is the only team that I see no losses ahead but their schedule will probably do them in.

Beating USC, ND, and Oregon would put them into the game for sure.
I dont see how clemson winning the acc undefeated wouldnt be ranked ahead of stanford.

acc is always a possibility of winning and in the championship, let alone clemson has beaten 4 ranked teams and still plays 3 highly ra if clemson runs table (with the amount of acc ranked) it will be spectacular season.. but as everyone else said there is a TON of football left to be played.

if k -state beats okie ..then potentially the winner of okst/kstate goes to national championship too! :D

meant to say they beat 3 ranked and have 3-4 left that could be ranked/highly thought of teams (g-tech/wake forest/south caro/ and potentially v-tech (who they gave only loss to already)).

BCS guru last night mentioned that Stanford would finish ahead of Clemson if both go undefeated. The fact that they play Oregon, ND , and USC gives them an advantage

Also if Stanford wins out this year, they will have another game to help improve their ranking as the Pac 12 has a conference Championship game this year with Arizona State their most likely opponent. Stanford wins out and they will go ! No if's and's or but's !~~:<<

A once in a decade great QB can prove a lot of old theories wrong. I give Stanford a shot under the right conditions.

Most likely will see one of the two in the BCS Championship game..

wil..

I give the Cardinal a "punchers" chance against anyone w/Luck back there. Do I think LSU/Bama are better "teams", yes. But would not make it a sure thing. I'd rate Stanford's O equal or better than either one of them, it's in the D that the difference occurs, both are much superior there IMO! Let's not forget OSU, if they beat OU in Stillwater don't think Stan. will pass them no matter what.
