10-24-2011:
Patriots will evaluate Terrell Owens

Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens will reportedly run routes and participate in agility drills in front of media and NFL teams on Tuesday in California. Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio said in a conference call on Monday that the Patriots will evaluate Owens, just as they would any free agent holding workouts during the season.

"I think he's no different than a lot of the other players that have been on the street," said Caserio. "We'll evaluate those players when they're available. We'll look at our situation, and then just make the determination, if that's something that makes sense for us. He's no different than however many other free agents are out there currently."

No way they keep Ocho and TO on the same sidelines again.

Ocho must go if they get TO

not to sound too horribly racist, but so many black athletes blow through the money so fast its amazing. Sad part is many of them have little to no education as they have just been passed along for years bc of what they can do on the field. The make 30-40 million off their skills and all the sudden think they are warren buffet with investing idea's and trying to buy properties all around the world and they fail miserably, whether it be their own fault or someone smarter than them scaming them.

I do not understand how none of them just sit on there cash. even a million dollars a year would be 10-12 million over the average career for a better than average player. 10-12 million drawing interest they could live a flashy life for the rest of their lives and never worry.

if you ever listen to chris johnson give an interview, I hope for his sake he has a pile of cash under the maitress because I think he would fail to score 500 on the sat's.

The phrase Dave Chappelle made fun of in his show....When "Keepin It Real" Goes Wrong. These guys keep their posse in tow and don't want to be seen as a "sell-out" if all of a sudden they tell their boys NO.

i dont even think it has to do with 10-20 people on the payroll all the time. most of the time it seems like they are always trying to prove themselves as being more than an athlete, but they dont really have the background, education, and experience to do so. They open up 5-10 car dealerships and will be bankrupt in 2-5 years because they have no idea what they are doing. I get the desire to want to continue to grow as a person, but its like learning how to swim by jumping into the 12 feet deep section of the pool when you have no idea how to swim

You hear about more black athletes blowing their riches or having babies and shit because the media picks and chooses which stories to write and which ones to print. A dumb jock is a dumb jock no matter what race you are. If you weren't educated or steered in the right way to manage your finances and fall into traps it has nothing to do with color. For every ghetto youth that makes it to the pros their is also a dumb hick or redneck that makes it too. The media just likes to tell the story about the flashy RB or WR that the majority of the public recognizes than the 300 pound quiet meathead lineman that made just as much money.

I would also like to point out that white players have a tendency to make a nice chunk a change towards the end of their careers after their immature party and free spending days are over while the black athlete gets offered league minimum to extend their careers. Don't you find it kind of peculiar that Kerry Collins gets 4 million to play 3 games for the Colts while teams only offered David Garrard the pro rated league minimum? Black QB's don't get to extend their playing days as back up QB's. For them it is either pro bowl starter or out of the league while white busts like David Carr, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller and so on get 4 or 5 million dollars to back up. I am pretty sure Dante Culpepper, Aaron Brooks or David Garrard would love to earn that kind of bread to hold a clip board. I am sure we can all agree the mega of all busts were Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf. But Ryan Leaf got 4 or 5 chances with other teams while Jamarcus was one strike and out.
