Texas @ St. Louis UNDER 7, +104

These 2 teams and pitchers were slated to compete on Wednesday night in which the over/under line was set at 7.5, -110. The game was delayed due to inclement weather and today we have the exact same matchup with the exact same pitchers on the bump with the only difference being the over/under line set at 7.

Some may ask why the 1/2 point drop in the total with the game being delayed just 24 hours. At this time of the season rest is very important for the tired pitching arms of both teams.

Jamie Garcia has pitched 216.4 innings, including the post season, and Colby Lewis has pitched 218.2 innings, including the post season. The postponed game last night does not directly give the hitters of both teams any extra advantage but rather is significantly important for both starting pitchers and bullpens. This is the main reason you see that 1/2 point drop in the total line that I mentioned above.

In addition, both pitchers have pitched pretty well this post season as Colby Lewis has a 2.55 ERA and Jamie Garcia has a 3.97 ERA. Jamie Garcia also pitched 7 scoreless innings of 3 hit ball on October 20th in St. Louis versus Texas.

What does this mean? It provides us with a great opportunity to cash on the under in this game and that is my play for tonight.

Good luck!
