Important notice regarding possible site changes due to DDOS attacks-Updated

Over the past several weeks theRX has suffered from DDOS attacks targeting our forums at key times. We have implemented a mitigation processes, some of which are transparent to posters and some that will require extra action to access the forums.

Beginning Friday 10/28 at 9:00AM Pacific, we will be putting up an intermediate page for anybody that tries to access the forums. Activating this page will require a 10 minute window of downtime to reset our servers. Once active this page requires you to enter characters into a Captcha field to prove you are a real person and then after a quick verification will forward you to the forums. Once you have completed this processes you will be able to navigate the forums as usual. Below is an image of the verification page that you will see.

Shitty... you guys always take care of us via bashes, promos etc.
Ill type an extra word or two but would you consider an alternative. Instead of words maybe pics of boobs and wed have to describe them,
I realize this isn't possible, or logical but just appreciate if you take it into consideration.

Maybe it's something to do with your browser not redirecting you? Have you tried tinkering with your browser settings?

I don't think so. I put in the code hit continue and nothing happens except the same page with a new code in it like I put it in incorrectly.

We are working on an alternative but if your browser allows you to magnify your monitor screen (like IE in lower right hand corner) you can magnify the captcha letters up to 200% and read them much easier..

Pat, I am not certain but I think today is a rest for Sunday.

For the Android crowd, I do not have an Android phone, but I ask a local tech friend to check out the issue and he was able to get in using the Dolphin browser and offer these thoughts.

Using auto correct will enter the corrected word unless you select the way you typed it in.
When typing, a space may be automatically entered after the phrase. Make sure the cursor is at the end and no space.

BTW, no problems with the iPhone on IOS5 if you keep it lowercase, drop that first cap.

I don't know if it's just me...but this time..I DID NOT have to put in that crazy code...which was nice....as sometimes those codes are, well F/UP...
