I've just been encountering this for past several weeks when using the covers.com site - a resource I value because I use the MATCHUPS and PAST RESULTS archives extensively
But now, each time I open either the "main" page for hockey (I presume it's on other sports main pages as well) or any specific Matchup page, a small video ad spot starts up automatically, usually located down at bottom of page out of sight without scrolling.
It's easy enough to just keep my speakers turned to zero volume, but of course I am often listening to youtube music or comedy clips. And the unwanted advertising audio comes right in over that for a definite cacophony
Anyone advise me on a possible way to work those (or other such) web pages without the automatic startup of the advertising clip?
