I agree Cards have best fans.. and I have LOVED baseball this playoffs but I am so annoyed right now. I am tired of the less talented teams winning. Felt that way about Giants, felt that way about the Cards this year. I would take the Rangers, Yankees, Tigers, Phillies, and Brewers roster over the Cardinals all day. It's fustrating year after year. Wild Card teams need more of a disadvantage.

But the Cards Beat the BEST teams in baseball to get where there are. How could you say they need a disadvantage over the other teams ????

Don't You think Facing the Phillies was a Disadvantage ??

It's Not like they had Any Home field advantage "During" the Playoffs, and The Phillies Had the Best Record in Baseball !

You need to give them a little more Credit than That.

i disagree, they were a weak team that barely made playoffs..goes to show how a `162 reg season means little

Imo, Cardinals were a classic case of a team getting hot at the right time. David Fresse winning the mvp is a pretty amazing. Around here, everyone is still obsessing over the Red Sox collapse, but when you think about it the Braves collapse and the Cardinals getting into the playoffs, and then winning the whole thing is a much more compelling story. I'm not a Cardinals fan, and I can't stand Larussa, but the fact that they won is the kind of stuff Disney makes movies out of -uh oh. With the exception of Carpenter and perhaps Garcia, is there anyone on their starting staff that is considered a good pitcher? One thing for sure, they have to get rid of that stupid all star game determining home field advantage for the world series. I don't think a wild card team should ever end up with home field advantage. Oh well it's "wait till next year" for the rest of us.

Congrats to Cards fans.A team with a lot of guts.Best World Champion in a lot of years.

As for the Rangers, they were my new adopted team.As my old team the Red Sox have been as unlikable and boorish as the Yankees over the years. So of course the Rangers lose in Red Sox-ian fashion. Collapsing twice with two run leads in the 9th and 10th.
Why R.Washington did not let Feliz come back out in the 10th is amazing to me.The triple in the ninth should have been caught by Nelson Cruz.
Ian Kinsler picked off in the first inning may have cost the Rangers a huge inning and may have knocked Carpenter out.
