lets say one of you gets hit with terminal cancer that projects 1-2 years left to live.....who would you rather it be?

you? (save your family)
your wife? (save yourself)
your child? (younger couples can have more kids)

I would die for my kids.

Between me and my wife, it's a tough choice, we probably go for a coin toss.

Dante would be about to say he will take the terminal illness then Wilheim posts about the next bash and Dante disappears with his wife now sitting in front of the needle

so who is going to have the nerve to say the child???

I don't have kids so I can't say. But i see kids with birth defects/complications that give them a hard life. If a doctor could only save one (the mother or a birth defect baby), I'd hope they save the mom and let the parents try again

or what if you have a child that unfortunately chooses the absolute wrong path in life despite your best efforts...joins a gang, gets expelled from school, steals from you, etc....

if that happened i cant see giving my wife or myself up for that....

I imagine that's how I'd feel if I had kids... but being single I'd have to say the unborn, he hasn't really existed yet so it's less depressing (depending on the scenerio), save the couple people who are already having fun with life and should have at least another 30yrs!

Me,as i ask god every day why he did not take me instead of my wife who was 14 years younger than i, that a house fire tragically took her life. She had shown a dramatic improvement with her health issues in the past 6 mo's or so, as i had been her caretaker for the past 6yrs, it has left a big void in my life, as i miss her so much. Yes i wonder & ask every day why didn't he take me, instead of Janet?

if i recall this was recent....sorry again sparticus...looks like you are still taking it hard. fwiw, i think although 14 years younger, the fact that you were in better health the past 6 years it was probably better her than you as you can hopefully still live a full life. She would have been left without her caretaker and husband.
