Philadelphia Eagles: Breaking Down the Playoff Scenarios

The Philadelphia Eagles stand with a*disappointing 5-8 record. However, as amazing as it might sound, the Eagles still have a slim chance to win the NFC East. Granted, it’s about a 5% chance, but there is a chance. I will break down the scenarios:
If the Eagles want a shot at the division, they must win out. No exceptions. This is probably the biggest hurdle the Eagles will have to the playoffs. In their remaining three games, the Eagles will play the Jets, at the Cowboys, and home against the Redskins. This weeks game against the Jets seems to be the toughest out of the three. However, Eagles fans know all too well that the team seems to step up against good teams, but lay an egg against bad teams. This has been happening for the entire Andy Reid era.
The other things that need to happen are as follows:
New York Giants:

The NFC East is wide open. (Besides Washington) The question is, who wants it?
For the Eagles to have a chance, the Giants must go 1-2 the rest of the way. Their remaining games are home against Washington, at the Jets (They will have to take the long walk to the visitor*locker room in the Meadowlands), and home against the Cowboys. Eagles fans better be singing Hail to the Redskins this weekend and chanting J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS next weekend.
Dallas Cowboys:
The Cowboys must also go 1-2 the rest of the way. They will play the Buccaneers, Eagles, and Giants the next three weeks. I can certainly see them finishing with that 1-2 mark.

I have an easier time picturing the Giants and Cowboys going 1-2 than I do picturing the Eagles going 3-0. The Eagles have been way to inconsistent this season, especially on defense. Who knows, maybe the Eagles have another miracle shoved up their sleeve.
