Anyone that doesn't choose STAN should immediately be put on post review for insanity and the possibility of producing riciculous posts at a later date.

I voted for Stan The Man , but he was before my time. The greatest Cardinal within my time would be Lou Brock.

And i think that's what you are going to get from the Younger Posters.

NO WAY

Most baseball fans under 30 years old know very little of LOU BROCK.................especially in comparison to STAN THE MAN.

STAN the MAN and LOU BROCK are two tremendously UNDERrated all-time greats.................simply because they did not play in a big EAST or WEST coast market.

Perhaps more UNDERrated overall than LOU and STAN(although LOU is massively underated)............perhaps the best player in the game overall for a 2-3 year stretch when taking everything into consideration.

ROGER HORNSBY should be added into the discussion.....................two-time TRIPLE CROWN winner with the CARDS and regarded by some as the greatest baseball player of all-time.

Toss up between Musial and Gibson. I went with Gibson.
Yep, me too (but also enjoy remembering Lou Brock). I saw 'em play in Connie Mack (not Musial) and it was always electric when Cards or Dodgers traveled to Philly. It was like their uniforms carried some aura. Gibson was a fearsome athletic force.
