Atleast Mark Shlabach has his shit together.
The students at those Penn St. rallies need to be institutionalized (which I guess they already are at that place)
there are apparently quite a few people that need to be fired.... more football staff, police, university staff, university police, Da's office staff, 2nd mile staff ect....
In Joe Pa's defense he is from the old school. Some of the elder posters here will know what I am saying. If you grew up in the 40's and the 50's you were conditioned to protect the family name. For example if your daughter got pregnant out of wedlock you sent her away to get fixed. If your daughter got raped you encourage her to not speak about it. If your son raped a girl you paid off the victims family to stay hush.
I remember my mom telling me about when she was growing up still living with her parents, that there were known perverts in the neighborhood and the children were just instructed to stay away from that persons house. I used to think she and my aunts and uncles were just bullshitting us kids but one time we had a gathering at one of my relatives house in the late 80's who still lived in the old neighborhood and one of the neighbors was exposing himself from his window to some of the kids who were outside playing. The only thing happened was a couple of the male adults went over to the guy's house and told him to quit it or else it was going to get violent. If that happened in today's society no way would a known sex offender be allowed to live in a neighborhood and if he did something perverted someone would call the police in a minute and have him picked up.
I think in Joe's mind he really did think he did the right thing by reporting what was told to him to his AD and letting them handle it how they seemed fit. I am all for keeping quiet and not being a rat but when small children are involved all bets are off. You have to protect the little ones who can't protect themselves.
