How does PSU not playing any more football games the rest of the year assist in helping the children who have been harmed, or bringing to justice the people responsible?
It would show you give a shit. IMO McQuery and anyone else who had knowledge should have the balls to step down.
If they don't, well that leaves you with two options.
Option A: Continue the season with coaches who had knowledge of Sandusky and even witnessed these events.
Option B: Shut it down completely.
I take option B.
Hell their even may be some players who don't want to go out and play for these coaches, and they should not have to make that decision. There are also rumors of past players having knowledge. If that is true, surely some of the current ones knew. Maybe not the extent of what was going on but they obviously didn't care.
Penn St should shut it down, bring in counselors, speakers, willing victims, and have mandatory seminars to show no action isn't okay. Bring in people to help these kids at Second Mile, now not tomorrow.
Right now the public perception is Penn St doesn't give a shit about these kids. Show that you do care.
