Who says Bill Belichick is a boring quote?
As the Patriots coach walked off the MetLife Stadium field, he threw his arm around his son, Stephen, and added an exclamation mark to the Patriots’ 37-16 victory over the Jets.
“Thirty-seven points on the best defense in the league, s--- my d---,” the Patriots coach said in celebration.

Let the record show Brady and Belichick tied Marino and Shula in 35 fewer games than the Dolphins tandem required, giving them a much higher winning percentage (117-35, .770) than the Miami duo (116-68, .630). For Marino and Shula, the last of their Miami victories was recorded in 1995, Shula's last season on the sideline. New England's coaching-quarterback tandem also puts Miami's to shame on the hardware front, winning eight AFC East titles in their nine full seasons together (discounting 2008, when Brady was injured and missed all but Week 1), and outdistancing Marino and Shula 3-0 in Super Bowl rings.

The rule changes helped Brady more than life itself, QB's back then never had it that easy as they do today. Defenses are much softer too....

Don't hate the guy. Just stating fact that it is many times easier today, including several years ago.

You mean back to when brady was winning super bowls. Most of the changes came after Prince Peyton and the Colts whined about the rules.

Posts like this make me laugh. The safeties Brady face now a days are bigger then the defensive lineman from back in the days. Defenses are schemed better, light years faster now a days.

Brady has never had anyone to throw to either and he does this. His best player was a couple years with Moss and he didnt do too much except become the only team to go 16-0 in a season and rewrite every qb record for a single season. Imagine if he had harrison / wayne or rice / taylor or anything for his entire career.

So, didn't offensive schemes improve and did offensive players remain slow or have they gotten faster and quicker and bigger as well???

Like I said... That's bs. It was emphasis on existing rules. It wasn't because indy couldn't beat the pats. That just happened to be a particular game that receivers were being draped by defenders. If the existing rule had been enforced, there would have been alot of penalties. So, like I said originally, rules were not changed... Just enforced.
