I think it's time for me to throw in the towel...... this guy is either the luckiest player in NFL History or perhaps He can play the game of football. I must admit I thought the Jets would eat him alive but .......... I don't even want to talk about it ! Ugly !:ohno:

It's easy to stop Tebow because his game doesn't translate to the NFL. You just stop the run and make him pass.

Errrrrr something.

i think it is a team effort. tired of tebow being blamed or given all the credit. this defense and the offense are getting it done. i wish the media would talk about them being a solid TEAM.

Why ? The Broncos were terrible until Tebow took over ! Where was the team effort before Tebow ? They sucked !

I'm talking about the last couple of years... not the last couple of weeks. The Broncos have sucked for a long time and now Tebow comes and you don't want to give him some big time credit ? It's the defense mainly ? The whole team is playing with a passion and Tebow is a big part of the reason. The fans and players are alive ! I bet on the Jets but I was applauding the Broncos after watching Tebow run for that touchdown. Perhaps you were out having a smoke or drink and missed that play ?

if denver had a capable qb behind center they would be sb contenders...thats the sick part of all of this....denvers defense is probably the best in the afc.....

denver should trade tebow to indy for the #1 pick in the draft and get luck....then it would be all over lol

denver basically handed over their gameplan before the kick off and the jets still couldnt beat them...9 completions for 101 yards lol....

i cant wait to see new england play this team and see how they attack this team....

I realize Tebo is bringing some passion to the team, but if you really look at it, the defense is carrying the team.. Alot of young players are stepping up on that side of the ball.

Denver's defense is right in the middle of the pack. Look it up. In the 5 games that Tebow has started, the 5 teams average 21.1 points per game and Denver has held those teams to 21.4 points per game. There is no question that the last 2 games, the defense has played very well, but I think Tebow has been the biggest influence by far. Pretty much this same defense went 1-4 in their first 5 games.

So Denver's defensive stats are in the middle of the pack, Ok,where does Tebo rate in QB stats ? is that in the middle of the pack too or towards the bottom ?

I'm simply replied to your comment that Denver's defense is carrying the team. Look it up but Denver's defense is rated 17 th and I've already stated the fact that Denver's defense in the 5 games in which Teboe has started has held the 5 opponents to almost exactly their year long average. Yet the team was 1-4 without Tebow and with Tebow they are 4-1. Interesting is all I'm saying and it really can't all be contributed to any special spike by Denver's defense. One thing some fans aren't aware of is that Tebow is an exceptional athlete. He is very fast for a QB and He pretty much surprised a lot of his critics at the combine. Almost all of his grades at the combine were very excellent. Dan Pathrick was talking about it today that when you give out QB scores, nobody gets any credit for wins. Teboe has always known how to win !

No doubt he is a winner and provides leadership.. Those are his best qualities... But when I watch the games , the defense is carrying the team..... Sometimes stats can be misleading, the defense is healthy now.... If you can't see that the defense is playing better then Tebo, well I can't help you watch the games ......

But imo that's also leaving out some important facts: Let's take the game at MIA f.e. where the defense was stellar pretty much all game long and then went on to force a fumble, which they recovered at the MIA36 in OT to set up the game winning FG. Yesterday they picked of Sanchez for the TD and special teams returned a kickoff into FG range, when Tebow and the offense struggled to put pts on the board despite starting several drives in Jets territory ...and the defense and special teams constantly cause turnovers or hand their offense decent field position most of the time, even though the offense still often time struggles to get more than one 1st down...

Year long averages are there and things happen all year long to win and lose games. However the fact remains that Denver's defense has been middle of the road all year and certainly not among the elite.
If you want to isolate 2 games along the way, so be it. However the fact remains that despite a few injuries along the way which occurs to all teams, this Denver Defense is ok but not great and where were they before Tebow ? What's happening is causing me $$ because I keep thinking Denver and Tebow's run is about to end. However those that give no credit to Denver's turn around to Tebow are just not paying attention. This guy has game and his team is buying into it. Let's see what happens when they play a team like the Patriots or Saints that can score in the 30's ! I do want to add that Tebow is very fast, strong and big for a QB and that most of the QB's could not have made many of the runs that He does.

I'm not isolating two games, but Denver not only had many important injuries early on, they also had a bunch of new guys on defense, who obviously are getting better the more playing/practice time they have under their belt and let's not forget that the defense was put in terrible spots frequently by Ortons turnovers early in the season...that's one of the things I give to Tebow: Although the offense still doesn't move the ball very well, at least with him under center they significantly cut back on their turnovers.
But that doesn't change my opinion, that this team has been carried for most part by the defensive and special teams play since they were even responsible for some key scores in half of those games (MIA/NYJ), "Tebow won"...

You are discounting Denver's defense by saying they are middle of the road... OK thats fine .... And your saying that year long stats bear that out.. Ok But Tebo has to be close to the bottom of QB ratings...... So if you have a middle of the road defense and a QB near the bottom, it would seem to me that the middle of the road defense is carrying the team..... Thats what I'm seeing anyway.....

Assuming that teams eventually figure Tebow out - would Tebow be an effective weapon in the wildcat? He certainly does seem to have great ability as a runner.
