One man's opinion....................

The Game 7 feel produced by the final installment of NASCAR's Chase for the Cup is the most excitement the sport has seen in a while. Three points separate points leader Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart heading into Sunday's season ending race at Homestead, and only those two drivers can win the championship. The drivers gave a sneak peek of their competition at a news conference Thursday, where Stewart was asked if he would knock Edwards out of the way on the last lap to win a title if the situation presents itself. "I'd wreck my mom to win a championship," Stewart said. "I'd wreck your mom to win a championship." Two good ol' boys smack talking and trading paint? Bring it on men.....I'll be looking forwart to it.

I think there may be value in betting Stewart winning the race. Stewart winning the championship is like +135 and Stewart winning the race is like +400.

Weather should be OK.

Here is a link to -> Homestead scenarios: How titles can be won.

http://www.nascar.com/news/111116/championship-scenarios-homestead/index.html
• If Edwards finishes ahead of Stewart, Edwards win the championship.
• If Stewart wins the race, he wins the championship.
• If Stewart ties Edwards, Stewart wins the championship.
• If Edwards leads a lap, Stewart needs to finish four spots ahead of him if Stewart doesn't lead a lap.
• If Edwards leads the most laps, Stewart needs to finish five spots ahead of him if Stewart doesn't lead a lap.
• If Stewart leads a lap, he needs to finish two spots ahead of Edwards if Edwards doesn't lead a lap.
• If Stewart leads the most laps, he needs to finish one spot ahead of Edwards if Edwards doesn't lead a lap.
• If both Stewart and Edwards lead a lap, Stewart needs to finish three spots ahead of Edwards.
• If both Stewart and Edwards lead the most laps, Stewart needs to finish three spots ahead of Edwards.
• If Stewart leads the most laps and Edwards leads a lap, Stewart needs to finish two spots ahead of Edwards.
• If neither Edwards or Stewart lead a lap, Stewart must finish three spots ahead of Edwards.

I took Stewart to win +700 with a local for 2 units.

May bet against the #2 since he did the taboo thing (criticizing NASCAR series on EFI).

Good info men.......

My take is with this rain delay...whichever driver handles the pressure the best will win. Edwards seemed really calm during interviews before the race started. Can't really tell if Stewart is calm or trying to hide the pressure with all his talking. He seems a little wired to me. Should be a good finish if NASCAR can get it in today.

Tony Steward drove the wheels off that 14 car. He deserves to be the champion.

Damn good race!

Great race. I can kick myself for not watching all of it. I love on the rain delay ESPN kept recapping some of the earlier events.
I did win 14 units but loss 2 on Brad Keselowski. Brad finished 20th but I had David Ragan in the matchup who had a blown engine who finished 38th. NASCAR could not have #2 finish in the top 5 with his comments on Electric Fuel Injection with Michelle Obama and Jill Biden at the race. Still Brad won the Nationwide race at Homestead. I think I was a little off on my thinking with Keselowski.

Lastly, 97 days, 11 hours, 39 minutes, 10 seconds until Daytona 500 in 2012.

Bobby, I didn't realize until today that Stewart was Cup Champion the year before Johnson went on his run.

2011 Tony Stewart
06 - 10 Jimmy Johnson
2005 Tony Stewart

Smoke also won the Cup in 2002.

I believe Stewart is the only driver to win Winston, Nextel and Sprint.

The real competition was held among Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart. Both battled hard two won the NASCAR championship. But previous record is pointing towards Tony Stewart.
