alabama! yup on wsex they have assumed the top spot...above lsu who beat them lol....they gonna get in the game without even having to play a conf title game

if lsu wins out (and does alabama's dirty work in the process) we are gonna have a rematch...

gotta say if boise st makes that 1st down against tcu instead of fumbling the football....they woulda been in the game this year....the head bumping aint over...i wouldnt be surprised if arky beat lsu in a week

only a month ago everyone here was saying boise had no shot b/c all these teams would go undefeated....hahahah boise st once again the team kicking themselves the most in the ass at the end of the day...

Your post is flawed here.. No way Boise would be in that game even if they would have won last week....Bama and oregon still would be ahead of them, SOS would drag them down even more the last couple of weeks.. No way Bama is a lock either for that 2 spot... Oregon could leapfrog them with a big win over USC. The fact that Bama won't even play in a Conference championship could hurt them too down the road...

It will be very close if both Bama and Oregon win out. However let's not get ahead of ourselves because LSU is no lock to stay unbeaten as they still have to play 9-1 Arkansas and then probably Georgia.
I doubt that Bama is presently the favorite to win the BCS Title because every Sportsbook here in Las Vegas had Lsu at anywhere from - 200 to -140 to win it all. Oregon is very much still in the running as a lot of voters will be reluctant to put 2 SEC teams in it after the boring 9-6 game. Also keep in mind that Bama's loss was at home. Oregon's loss was pretty much a road game being in Dallas and it was the Ducks first game of the year.

I would not say beating USC at home is a big enough win to leapfrog Bama. USC, really? The same USC who squeaked by Minnesota 19-17 in LA? The same USC who beat lowly Arizona 48-41 at home? USC is so over-hyped it is a joke. Not one big win on their sched (Do not include "we have not returned to glory") and they play in a joke of a division.

I have to say that if Arkansas beats LSU at LSU I do not see how you can keep them out of the title game. I know the BCS is a joke but if Arky gets knocked out of the BCS title by beating the #1 team in the country in the last week of the season in LSU's house then why even play the games on the field? Might as well lock all the geeks & reporters in a room and let them decide the best team in the country. Oh wait, that's what they do now.

Can we also ban the Big East from their auto BCS bid. It has become such a joke. Last year the Big East champ Uconn got pounded by the 7th place team in the weak B10 Michigan 30-10. This year Cincy has a good shot to win the Big East title and were absolutely drilled by Tennessee 45-23. Tennessee is 0-6 and might not win 1 game in the SEC. Honestly, the BCS needs to have a caveat that says if the no team from your conference is ranked within the top 15 of the final BCS standings than your BCS conference loses their automatic BCS bid for that year. Does anyone want to see a possible Bama vs. Cincy match-up in the Sugar Bowl? The line on that game would start at about 20+ points.

i'VE always agreed if you can't win your conference you

Bama vs LSU is damn near a lock and rightfully so.

Bama wins by a field goal.

Flawed thinking. They are clearly the two best teams and they play in the same conference.

Guys, it's not even debateable. Bama and LSU went toe to toe for 60 minutes, and one of them won by a field goal in OT. That's what's supposed to happen in a #1 vs #2 game of the century. OU lost to a shit team, so they are out. Oregon lost to LSU by two TD's, so they are also out. No other choice but to have a rematch of Bama and LSU. That's the system we have, and we have to live with it for now.

I do think Oregon and OU would both have a great chance to win if there was a playoff. But there's not.

This will be the year that a lot of 1 loss teams will get screwed. BCS chaos makes a stronger argument for a play-off.

It would be so simple for them to just make the BCS a real Bowl Championship Series. All they would have to do it seed them 1 thru 8 and play the bowls. Then have the semis and final the following two weeks. They would make everyone happy and make more money, which is the only thing they care about.

And many have forgot, LSU beat Oregon to death without Jordan Jefferson. Without Jefferson, LSU doesn't beat Alabama...

Some teams struggle at the start of the year.. Some teams have off games....Do you think USC would squeak by Minny today or blow them out ? Beating USC is still going to pick up ground as a quality win.. Bama is playing Ga Southern... who do you thinki is going to pick up ground ?

Most LSU fans thought starting Lee at the beginning of the season gave them a better shot at winning.. Oregon was without Harris which in the end was a bigger loss especially on special teams

Not sure where you have got your information but this is not true. Did Lee have a few fans? Yes... But I can assure you that most LSU fans were behind J. Jefferson prior to his bar fight...and many were still for him after the fight!

I read some quotes from LSU posters on this site, no I didn't interview every fan....

I'm sure that would have been time consuming but enough of the "smart assness"...

Obviously LSU fans would want there starting returning QB to open up the season...no brainer.

Anytime someone is suspended fans look for re-assurance from the back up and try to convince themselves that he is just as good.

Hey just a thought. If GA wins the SEC championship game, who goes to the Capital One Bowl......LSU or Alabama?
