I'm a fan of Ron Paul too. Unfortunately, his campaign was torpedoed when Wolf Blitzer asked him whether the state should help a gravely ill person without health insurance, or let him die. It's a tough question for a libertarian. He might have had a better answer if he had a couple minutes to think about it rather than a couple of seconds.

I like him too.

But yeah, Holmes is right, that question and answer with Wolf turned off a lot of voters. He doesn't tell enough lies to be elected.

I agree at the time it makes him look bad.

But IMO if Paul could publicly justify his answer to Wolf's question the next day, he would have gained support.

Whether someone likes your answer or not, if you can prove your answer they basically have to accept it.

Actually I thought he had a good answer. He said that people should take care of their responsibilities and when he worked at a hospital they never turned anyone away.

Ron Paul is the man and he has a real shot of taking this thing down. He is polling extremely well in Iowa. If he can pull a victory off there, his support will snowball from there.
