Well, this questions doesnt matter any more. Now post: What happens if Georgia beats LSU? In one week and one day, that wont matter either.
Lsu vs Bama would be played somewhere else and Georgia vs whoever would be in the Sugar Bowl
LSU is going to the BCS Championship game no matter what happens in the SEC Championship game. I still don't get why the location or date of the BCS game will be affected by anything that happens in the Georgia/LSU game. The Sugar bowl game is scheduled for Jan 3 and the BCS championshikp game is scheduled for Jan 9. Am I missing something ?No the Sugar Bowl hosts the SEC Champion as determined by who wins the Championship game. If thats Georgia then LSU would drop to 2nd (unless they really get blown out by Georgia) and Alabama would move to #1....So the BCS championship could not be played in the Sugar Bowl since Georgia would get the auto bid...
But its all null and void since i just heard Lou Holtz predict Georgia to upset LSU next week....Now LSU is a lock..
The BCS Championship game has always been scheduled for Jan 9. There's no reason that they would change it no matter who plays in it.You may have me there. If the championship will not be played till the 9th then i guess they could have Geor vs ? on the 3rd then come back on the 9th for lsu vs bama. i just assumed that they would move whatever bowl game had the bcs champ game to the 9th. I didnt think they would have a separate game for the championship, i thought it was always a regular bowl game that was moved to the date of the championship. If LSU wins next week that is what will happen right? The Sugar Bowl wont be on the 3rd it will be on the 9th for the BCS Championship. Si i thought if Georgia is in then LSU vs Bama would be played in the Orange, cotton or something else and THAT game would be moved to the 9th.
