If one is a big NBA fan, this is good news, but at best, and I mean at best, I am a luke warm fan, who will pay attention a little to the playoffs, will watch, maybe, just maybe 6 to 8 regular season games a year, I can honestly say I really would not care one iota if they never played a half, no less 66 games this year.

Not one bit.

no problem with the opinion, but why are you taking the time to post in this thread and make opinions on something you care nothing about.

im tired of these trolls jumping from site to site saying these overpaid jocks blah blah blah, i could care less bla bla bla. ok we get it, you don't care. why are you spending your time and energy on something you dont care about.

i dont lump you in that category because you left an out for people like myself who are nba fans. tired of that idiotic trolling rhetoric though.

1) Like you said, I am not a troll.

2) This is a message board, and the essence of a message board is to post your opinion, if it with a little bit of respect, without spam or trolling, the contrarian should always be welcome.
And my message is, good for the NBA fan, enjoy it, but I have not been 'feeling your product since 1988'

3) If the thread was full of "yay, the NBA is back, happy days are here again" posts, the thread would be boring.

But yes, if one does not like the NBA, and just comes in to the thread to stir the pot, I am against that, go somewhere else.

Good news. The NBA was pretty compelling last year. Hopefully it will continue this year.

All those international team must be kicking themselves for wasting time trying to bring NBA players to their teams.

Looking forward to seeing many friends and familiar names again in the NBA section.

I truly believe here at TheRx we have the strongest core of NBA handicappers around.
Would be willing to prove that if any other site would like to form their own group
vs myself and some other Rxers in some type of fun, friendly year-long $ wager. :)

The only question left is who the refs will name NBA Champion this year...

Looks like the players started feeling the pinch of no paychecks rolling in.....guess the idea of working at local car wash wasn't looking to promising.

I believe the guys who signed in China (like, half of the denver nuggets) are contractually obligated to play their contracts out until March. I assume some resolution will be reached, but the chinese teams would only take the players if they signed for the entire season over there.

I was so annoyed and upset that the reg season didn't start myself. I was so turned off and aggravated with the greedy players that I told myself I would never watch the NBA again. But who am I kidding? I love bball and the NBA and cannot wait for the season to start if it is indeed starting. I just can't stay away from it. I like watching even with the shady refs and calls the lazy thugs who don't feel like trying every game or even showing up etc. I still love it man. Mostly cause of the few that bring it each and every game and show how much they love the game. Kobe, Kevin Durant, Blake Griffin is fun to watch and the list goes on.

I agree. I hate it when people are like, ''who asked you? or why would you bother making such and such comment'' hello...it's a message forum. The whole point is to post any opinion you have on anything. I for one am interested in hearing all sides because I want to see what people feel in general and if they are turned off of the NBA like me(at the same time I miss it and want it back) and generally what their attitudes are.

If the players had de-certified the union and filed suit as soon as the lockout began, the whole season would have been played. Next time they'll probably take the agents' advice.

I've seen posts where people post negative things about the topic at hand and wondered why they would bother posting. Then, I though if I had the same opinion I surely would want to post.

Sometimes people have no interest in a subject because they are irritated about that subject but should still be allowed to post their irritation in the matter.
