Or do you do it because it is the right thing to do?? I just reported a bad line to a sponsored book here and got a "thank you" Some books give a freeplay etc for reporting a bad line some do not. I did it because it was the right thing to do but SHOULD I expect anything in return? Do you expect "something" when you report a bad line?? The line was -180 but should've been +180 so all I did was help them maybe get a bet on the line. As they had it nobody would have bet on that line...lol

Just wondering what the general feeling is on this subject:think2:

On the good ol' days they used to give you stuff.

Now days after so much abuse from people betting on bad lines, they have sooo many rules in place to cancel or confiscate your bets/funds that they do not mind making mistakes. Do not bet on those lines, the risk of losing your money is higher than the bet you are doing.

You did the right thing by letting them now, it doesnt hurt to tell them your account number, they may get back to you.

i think they should give you a small freeplay or something. i remember i deposited money into 5dimes and they added it twice. i wasnt going to say anything but also didnt want to deal with any fall out so i told them what happened. all i got was a thanks for being honest, and when i asked for some freeplay money in return they said no. something about they would have realized when i cashed out anyways, so i basically just saved my self the trouble of dealing with it later. ever since them i never do anything to help them, ive had a couple wagers graded wrong and seen some bad lines, but i keep my mouth shut now

It seems a book would rather give a honest member "something" for reporting the line and not betting on it but some books just do not do it. Oh well...I felt better for reporting it...lol

i report them so i can bet the real line. betting a bad line they will take it away if you win. i cant believe books dont have someone that doublechecks lines to make sure no bad ones are there.

Just ask them for a reward, nothing wrong with that. 99.9% of the time they'll give you something. I got two rewards by reporting two bad lines at two different books. They were both happy to hook me up.

The books were Bodog and WSEX.

good advice...also asked to be sent to customer service not stage( line guys) as customer service is much more likely to reward your good deed....l

Reported bad lines twice at two different books. Didn't get anything for it.

Now I just don't bother reporting it or betting it. Not worth my time and I've got more than one out.

Reported it to BetJM .. they would always give me a small free-play.

Reported it to Heritage Sportsbook ... ONCE ... they gave me nothing.

Then I saw line up at Heritage about 4-6 minutes past-post, I hit it for $5 just to see what would happen. I won the wager, so they must have gotten fuckt by it. Too bad. Not my problem.

Same thing happened to me at youwager.com and I got a $100 freeplay put in my account. I called and reported the $100 mistakenly put in my Bonus Play and the lady in customer service said that was for letting us know about the bad line. Couldn't be more happier and that has happened at other books and I got nothing in return not even a thank you.

So if you make a mistake and bet the wrong side in the game by accident the bets on, but if they make a mistake bets off.
I just don't understand why people stand up for books so much, especially when it's obvious all the problems that exist at them

if you bet a bad line its cancelled at any good book..........not sure what you meant here

if a book hangs lets say today weber st -9.5 instead of saint marys.......all bets on the game will be cancelled..........and from experience all you will have is st marys +9.5......players know the lines and either take a shot or dont......i dont blame them but it usually gets caught and cancelled......a shit book might wait until the game is over and thats wrong....

Used to give out a few Bonus Plays for guys reporting a bad line or book screw up...but there are players out there who are ready to pounce just looking for bad lines....when those guys who are 50 dollar players all of a sudden become 500 players because of the bad line, I always had fun dealing with those assholes...when you threaten them with internet suspensions, they usually revert back to the good 50 dollar player...
