Seems that Laptops are the thing of the Past, as More and More tablets are coming out.

To tell the truth... after getting my Ipad, and having 3 laptops...

I Prefer the Ipad

I don't like the touch screen keyboards. Got big hands. I say laptop. Keep it old school.

Not sure... I remember when many didn't even have a Laptop.. but then i heard people replaced the PC with a Laptop. So you never know...

I would guess maybe in 5+ years

The one good thing is Laptop prices have gone down.

I don't really understand the need or use for a tablet. Everything I need to do on the go I can use my phone for, and anything at home/office/hotel can be done easier on a laptop IMO; better keyboard.

This is a tuff question although I love my iPad it does not do everything my laptop does..... Well just thinking about it my laptop does not do everything my iPad does....lol the apps for one....I love both my iPad and my laptop. I couldn't live without either one of them. The iPad is more for portability and games.....for me anyway

I type well over 100 words a minute so I am way more productive with the real keyboard. The touch screen one of my phone takes me forever to use and I'm always mashing buttons.

Couldnt get by with just my iPad. No way I could type all my papers for school on it.

iMac at the house for school and business related stuff, iPad for web browsing and movies occasionally.

Never really been a fan of laptops, but I don't see a tablet replacing them anytime soon.

I was under the impression that you could get a regular keyboard to plug into the IPAD if needed... wouldn't that solve all the typing issues?

You'd still have to prop up the screen on something since holding it with one hand and holding the IPad up with the other doesn't seem all that awesome. So you'd basically have to turn the thing into a laptop to use it like a laptop...

The Keyboard has a Dock that Holds the Ipad. I didn't get it yet, but thinking about it.
I 100% agree that having a Laptop with you would make it much easier to type.
for the first time I traveled with Only my Ipad, and found it to be weird.

But then again, when i first had a Laptop I found it weird compared to using my PC

Most of the so-called experts are saying to wait a year before getting a tablet. They're going to get a lot better.

Check out the new Asus Transformer Prime coming out soon. First quad core tablet and will have Androids ice cream sandwich operating system by the end of the year. It has an optional keyboard that turns the thing into a laptop. 16 hour battery life. Its going to be a BEAST.
