some teams are going to have to make out getting to avoid a tough early schedule, not having to play the lakers or heat games etc that have been postponed. anyone know off hand who made out well with the shortend season based of perceived schedule toughness?

how much will sched be changed? I know I heard every team will have to have back-to-back-to-backs in their schedule once this year

wait i'm confused...

was there ever an official sched released before the lockout and thus postponed and thus the sched will be unbalanced and go forward from dec 25th as planed?

I assumed there was never a schedule to begin with

and the 66 game schedule is being worked on to be as fair and as equitable as possible for everyone from scratch....

is this not the case?

ofcourse their was a schedule released before the lockout occured, thats why on espn they brought up multiple times what opening games were canceled or who the big matchup would have been that night etc. with the shorter season, teams are not going to be able to play all the teams they would have had to in a full season, so someone has to make out on the deal avoiding the power houses

just found this online

Teams will play 48 games in conference and only 18 out of conference, meaning that not every club will play one another, and that could also be a major factor in deciding which clubs make the playoffs in a shortened season.

like i said, once the new full schedule is out, some teams are going to have to make out on the deal

I didn't know they released a schedule

I'd like to see it

I know MONTHS were canceled.... but I never thought of it as particular games....

in any event, are they not reworking the schedule?

are they just starting with dec 25th games and going forward with the schedule that you said was released, as is, as was? no differences?

you can play all the "non-conference" teams with an 18 game "non-conference" schedule

I think the question may be, which teams see the "perceived tough" non-conference opponents twice and ALSO which see easy teams twice and vice versa

what is the typical 81 game schedule breakdown of conference and non-conference opponents?

Surprised that they're not just using four H2H in division (16 games) and then a simple two each vs all remaining teams (50 games)

82 game schedule is four vs each in division (16); two vs each in opposite conference (30) and then either three or four* vs the other In-conference teams (36)

-----
*That last grouping rotates each season so that pretty much you'll see in-conference/non-division opponents three times one year and four the next
