Most of you should have noticed by now, but evidently the airwaves have been TAKEN OVER,

The women are now taking over the news which started a few years back, but now its the weather, I believe there are more women forecasting than men. and then SPORTS
they are down on the field quoting stats, plays and interviewing, the men on tv is slowly dwindling. Not complaining though, just saying.

Interesting observation Jabow. For the most part, I find the ladies are doing a decent job.

Whereas, I find the proliferation of ex-jocks on TV can be weak at times. Just because a guy played a pro sport doesn't necessarily mean he's a great observer/analyst of the sport.

The best example I can think of is Lennox Lewis. He was one of the best heavyweights I've ever seen, however, he was a disaster as an analyst on HBO.

Lampley: Lennox, what do you think he needs to do to win?

Lewis: Well, he needs to box really hard and try to avoid getting hit.

Thanks for that earth-shattering insight, Lennox.

Did you notice the trend in women in TV sports is annoying voice is in?
I mean listen to Erin Andrews, her voice is irritating, I can name half a dozen other women on ESPN and other sports outlets who has nasal, annoying voices.

i object to women having anything to do with NFL. Every other sport is fine bc the possibility exists that the woman may have played the sport and has some real knowledge and experience. But with NFL this is not possible. And I dont want to hear eye candy. We all know how to find hot chicks doing everything from eating poop to pissing on each other.

I dont care how sexist it is. The only place for a woman in the football is with pom poms and short skirts.

Men are usually better at it, but they don't have boobies.

So if you don't play a sport you can't have knowledge of it? Very limited view to take

You know as well as I do that you'll never want to gouge your eardrums out faster than when you accidentally (at least down here in the TBay market) tune into a Yankees radio broadcast and hear Susan.....especially when she's all amped up

You can have knowledge if you haven't played. But at the level of NFL broadcasting I don't see how a woman can offer real insight compared to a man who has participated in the sport at some level. I am looking for real analysis and smart commentary and I just don't see that coming from a women in the NFL, sorry
