Agree on the Packers. I think it is the same with any of the 'favorite teams', especially at home. Did anyone watch the game on Sunday night? While the announcers were blathering on about the Lions, I don't think the Saints had a penalty until the second half. There was an obvious hold right in front of the ref on the first touchdown (does anyone think that Ingram has the speed to get around the corner....), and they were blatantly off sides on the blocked field goal.
The NFL is controlled by the refs. The players play, the coaches, coach, but...the NFL controls tries their best to control the flow of the game through the refs. It's all subjective! The referees can literally call a penalty when the want and they can manipulate the reviews as they see fit. Instant replay has done nothing but destroy the game!
