If you think something is wrong with the BCS system donít look at the top of the rankings, look at the bottom. Sure there was token controversy about who should play LSU but if you look on down the BCS top 25 it really makes me wonder. At #24 the BCS lists Texas (7-5) and at #25 they list Auburn (7-5). Are you shitting me. Neither of those two teams is listed in the Top 25 by the AP, USA Today, or by ESPN. Two teams with 7-5 records.
Letís take a look at who the BCS could have listed instead of those two stiffs.
Here are some other teams who finished the season 7-5: Iowa, Louisville, Mia Fl, Mia O, Nevada, N Caroline, NC State, SMU, Utah, Utah St, Washington, W Kentucky, W Michigan, and oh yeah how about Missouri who beat Texas.
Teams with better record are: N. Illinois (10-3), Cinn (9-4), BYU (9-3), Ohio (9-4), and following teams finished at 8-4 Ė Florida St, FIU, La Lafayette, La Tech, Toledo, Rutgers, Temple, Virginia, Wyoming, and oh yeah how about Tulsa whose only 4 losses were to top 10 teams.
The BCS is a joke plain and simple. It is what it is.
