Newton is putting up huge stats so he'll get the nod. I've been extremely surprised with how poised Dalton has looked though. He's doing the things that winning teams need out of their quarterbacks... Newton... not so much. This one comes down to statistics though and Newton is the man there.

Anyone taking out Aldon Smith on the defensive side?

Gotta be Von Miller or Aldon. Patrick Peterson gets in because of his returns I guess. 3-horse race?

Ryan Kerrigan is the only other one with a chance on the other side of the ball.

Newton is doing EVERYTHING he can to get the wins. Have you seen him run the two mintue drill? This guys does all and is already making good decisions. He doesn't win because of the defense... They allow 27 ppg, 29th in the league allow 363 yards a game!

Although I do agree about Dalton, he has poise but no where near the skill level that Cam brings.

Newton also turns the ball over quite a bit and has lost games for Carolina that a guy like Dalton would have won. He's also faced a ton of bad defenses... It's hard to pinpoint my thoughts on him really... The guy is the reason his team is in games they don't belong in, but he's also a big part of the reason why they lose them because he makes rookie mistakes.

Another thing about Newton... his defense isn't good but he also makes them look worse with his turnovers. He'll make great plays one drive to score a TD and then throw an interception to set up 1st and 10 on the wrong side of the field. It's tough to rank him really.

He doesn't make horrible decisions. He throws the ball a ton for a Rookie. To me, its not even close....

Gonna have to be Cam Newton.

He broke Peyton Manning's 1st-Game Rookie Passing Record, turned around in only his 2nd game and broke the rookie record for most passing yards in a game with 400+ yards, and now holds the NFL all-time record for rushing TD's by a QB with 13, and will more than likely continue to build on it with a few games left and on pace to break other records as well.
