This is the first year since I have been with my I haven't been out shopping on black Friday. As much as I dislike the shopping, it seems thats what got my Christmas mojo going. I haven't bought much of anything for anyone yet....

I am usually a great gift giver, but man this year is looking pretty lame.
Most Expensive thing I got is a pillow she likes ($100+ for pillow?)
... LAME...

I could score big points with a puppy, but I know I will end up doing 90% of the work, No thank you.

What about yall, what are you getting your girl for Christmas

Get the puppy. The best thing to get her is what you think will make her happiest, and it sounds like you know what that is. Part of that gift is that you help do the work...

Either that or give her the ole dick in a box...either way.

BTW my wife and I have been together 12 years and have a $50 limit on each other. It makes you get creative; she is a Bengals fan so this year I got her bengals socks and slippers. That sh*t means more that dropping dimes IMO.

Any big purchase we make together, so makes it pretty hard to do expensive gifts anyway.

We take $500 each Christmas that we would have spent on each other and put it towards a home improvement project. Works out well.

before buying a puppy........please consider adopting a dog from the shelter instead of purchasing one, there are many many dogs of old ages (young, middle age , old) that would be perfect companions and are waiting for a chance to be a good friend, many many dogs/cats etc are euthanized every single day of the year

also not sure if you should simply land with a pet......keep in mind it could live many years and it you two both would have to help with the feeding/care/walking etc that a dog requires, perhaps its best if you would ask her if she would like that and if she says yes then head together to a shelter and pick your friend?

no shit.....It was only after I got the boot in Feb 2010 that I snapped to the fact I could have been scoring Mad Pussy during the previous 15 months if I had only put my RxMod laminated business card down on the bar every time I went out

That is where I got both of mine also and would never consider doing any different in the future!

My wife and I don't exchange gifts, we just use the money on the kids.

I want to get the dog, and I am cool with getting one from a shelter... just so much responsibility.... Like every 6 weeks, her weekend to work falls on my best buddy weekend off... So I go to see him, 3 hours away.... That poor dog would get no attention... My girl leaves for work at 630pm, and returns at 730am... 13 hours without anyone. then she stays up for an hour, before sleeping for 8 hours. so she would be home and awake for a total of 2.5 hours a day... not fair to the dog...

and I like to travel any time I can as I have friends through the state... I don't know. I cannot do that at this time, even though its the best gift I can think of.

Out of all the girlfriends I have had, I have never spent Christmas with one in 35 years (35 now). Relationships would always end before or after the holidays, except one girl who left me on Christmas day 3 years ago. That's life.........

Man, every year I go overbaord on my wifes Christmas... and she isn't a great gift giver either.. but I really do enjoy giving .. pause for the jokes... I use to go overboard on family and friends but as money gets tighter, her gifts seem to stay the same...

this year:
Remote Car Starter - figured this was the 2nd best gift I could give after a puppy... although think its a waste of money for her POS car that we want to update in the next year or so... but she gets off work at 7am, and sits freezing in her car until it warms up... she deserves it.

New Digital Camera - just bought her a nice one for Vday.. She took it to work to show some pictures to co workers a month ago and one of them dropped it.. now the lense won't retreat... was in tears over it. We exchange stockings the night before, no idea why, but something we've always done, and instead of the little gifts in there, going to put the Camera in it so shell have it for Christmas

plus $100 boots she likes... ended up gettin that $100 pillow too.... then there is some odd and end things too that add up way to quickly..

If you live in an area that has cold winters... a remote car starter she will love...
