.....if Manning came back for the rest of the year?

Would Manning make that much of a difference for these pathetic Colts? Just wondering.:think2:

That defense is built for leads, which Manning usually gave them. Tebow helped resurrect a dying Broncos team, so I think Manning's presence would help. It couldn't hurt.

Nope, this team quit after the Pitts Monday night game. Hard to turn it back on after shutting it down over two months ago. I would cut everyone single one of these pussies when the year is over.

he'll still be rusty like hell and not in playing shape. there's a reason they have preseason and training camp.

. No professional athlete goes out there to fail. The ones that are filling in for injuries , which are quite a few , are fighting for a job. They certainly aren't getting it done out there no questions its apparent.
Bringing Peyton back , would help nothing for this team. They need to have production somewhere other then #18.

And Freeney and Mathis havent been used nearly as much as they would be if Manning was playign this season. Theyve been dinged up but would have seen many more snaps if the games were actually winnable.

Manning would improve this team from snap one. Would they be world beaters?... No

Manning should want to come back to save his job by winning a few games and sinking the Colts down below a Luck draft pick. Won't happen. Colts will draft Luck and unload Manning. Redskins will pay with a one and a two draft pick to march yet another QB savior into town. History repeats yet the cost of Redskin stadium beer keeps rising.

In the inaugural issue of the new NFL Magazine, the league-owned publication picks Peyton as the MVP.

Unload Manning. That's the first time I think I have heard that. But you could be right.

My Guess is he will retire and take some coaching position within the organization. Some thing about this neck surgery is wrong, His first surgery in Chicago did not go well, and they opened him up again.

I agree but the probability of that happening is slim

Financially it makes little sense. But then again so did the massive contract they gave him this year when he still had a jacked up neck. Best case scenario for the Colts finance wise still means they have to pay Peyton something like 20 million, and that's even if he doesn't take another snap and they cut him before next season IIRC
