If Rodgers was to go down with an inj would the Packers fall apart as fast as the Colts have without Manning?

They seem more balanced on offense, and their D is considerably better than the Colts'

I see alot of similarities in these teams. Awesome QB play, Solid receiving core, (but what good is it if they cant get them the ball) No run game, Defense can make plays but gives up too many points....

Yea, I definitely see what you're getting at... I do believe GB's defense is better than the Colts' D has been during Manning's career... It might not show as far as the point totals put up by oppositions, but when it matters I think they're far superior. But as I said, I do see what you're saying, and I'm not trying to diminish Rodgers' importance

I think thats a very legitimate comparison...

Packers aren't great defensively... Woodson at corner, Baja at DT, and decent LB play..... Colts had Sanders, Freeny, and the other end whos name escapes me...

Although the Colts are a 0-2 win team without Manning, I would have to think Packers are a 3-5 wins Rodgers but your point remains, its built around 1 guy

No, the Packers would win at least ONE game without Rodgers.............hell, they almost beat the PATS last season with their backup QB at the controls..........................

I would say the Pack goes 7-9 this season with their CURRENT second stringer at the helm instead of RODGERS...............thus RODGERS worth about 8 to 9 wins.

So many teams wasting years with the TEBOWS, VICKS, and CUTLERS of the world....................

Yes the Packers would drop off without Rodgers but Flynn is a capable backup who would fill in nicely and might be a hot free agent coming up after the season

First off 2009-2010 Colts did not win the SB
2010-2011 Packers did.

Now for the breakdown:
Packers last year had injuries on the interior line.
Now that the Pack O line is healthy, they are better than the 2010 Colts.

Like it or not, Rodgers is having one of the greatest QB years in the history of the NFL

2011 Rodgers > 2009-2010 Manning
Jennings/Nelson/Driver > Garcon/Wayne
You want to say Addai was better than Grant or Starks, fine.
Dallas Clark did a nice job that year at tight end, slight edge over Finley.

Both teams on defense will never remind you of the '85 Bears, but slight edge to Packers.

Pack all around better team

You're missing the point. Both Rodgers and Manning are the rare breed of QB that can turn no name WRs into weapons.
See also: Austin Collie, Blair White.
Jordy Nelson is essentially cut from the same cloth. On practically any other NFL team he would be a non factor.

Any team would love to have Jordy Nelson.......and he would be a major factor quite a few teams.

WAYNE and HARRISON/ DRIVER and JENNINGS...............Hall of Famers

RODGERS and MANNING .............Hall of Famers

FREENEY and WOODSON.............Hall of Famers
