10 years, $250 million is what's being reported.

Now Fish, that's an investment.

And Smith is next on the list to join the Angels. How the heck did they ever pull this off?

These sports contracts are beyond insane nowadays. The guy hits a fricken baseball good, that should barely be worth 6 figures.

I'm baffled why anyone goes to games, buys merchandise or supports this madness. Its not like sports would disappear if athletes didn't get paid millions and millions of dollars.

Agree.. That's why I Stopped going to most of these games.
Use to have season Tickets for the Yanks, Gave that up when the price kept going up and the Food & Drink prices did too.

Went to a few games here and there, but you need a Good $200 Plus the price of the Tickets. Not that I don't have it to spend, but I can sit in my living room with a 42" Flat screen , have Home Cooking or Take out and Enjoy is at Home.

This Sports have gone Crazy and is a HUGE Business Model. The Owners Get Rich and the Players get Richer. The Fans ?? they get to go home with Empty Pockets.

I ask the same question all the time, people complain, but then attend games and watch them and buy "gear"

only thing i buy is a cheap jersey or shirt for my team so i can where it for big games and parties. But i agree the money they make is insane they get paid to stay in shape and have fun it should be worth a well paying job 100-300k for the best but these guys money checks are what middle class people take home in a decade yet were the idiots who spend ridiculously money going to the game at the game and after the game worthless.

Reminds me of ARod past couple seasons. He makes an average of like $15K every time he walks to the plate......and then another $15K when he walks back to the dugout after whiffing

If that were the case, every MLB team would have a maximum contract of $100K per player

When I moved to Calif. 12 years ago, they said i either have to be an Angel or Dodger
fan. i decided to be an Angel fan and glad i did because the Dodgers are garbage from owner on down. Now im looking to buy season tickets with the Angels. Its going to an exciting year
