Listening to the Herd today, Colin said that the Marlins offered 300 million. Anyone else hear that? $300 million in a state with no income tax.

WHAT? No way man. If the Marlins offered that he would have take it and no way the Marlins have that much money. Pujols clearly was in it for a paycheck so why turn down $300 million.

The only way it is that much is if off the field money was included as talk did exist of them showing a commitment to him from the organization even after his playing days are over.

No way. Pujols would rather play for Guillen than Scocia. If Marlins offered 300, he'd be a Marlin unless somebody else offered him 305...all about the money for Pujols

Think is was for 220M. They were saying that it would be like another team offering 300M due to no state taxes.

One in his position needs to watch the dow melt to ~3,000 and then accept 3 million. Ya' know, lose 2 zeros.

Greedy people deserve appropriate haircuts.
