Deal was made to send Paul to the clippers. At the last second the league said they had to include 1 more starter in the package. They were already ready getting 3 players and a 1st round pick.. The league insisted they send their PG also and the Clippers said no way.
1 reason they want him so bad is they know exactly what he will cost and its dirt cheap. From what i understand only the Hornets can sign him to a big long term deal. If he is traded his new team can only pay him like 75 mill for 4 yrs where as the Hornets already offered him 100 mill and he turned it down. The other option a new team can take is extend his current deal....that to is pretty cheap at a lil over 80 mill. So any way it goes the guy who gets screwed is CP.....The team gets a young player at a guaranteed bargain price....
