A diehard New York Jets fan was savagely beaten on his own turf by a drunken gang of Kansas City Chiefs fans after their team was trounced Sunday — with one of the assailants barking "F*ck New York" and "You all deserved what happened on 9/11," the victim's distraught family told the New York Post.

James Mohr, 23, a physical-education teacher at the Bronx Guild vocational high school, was wearing his Jets gear after the team's 37-10 victory as he walked through Parking Lot J at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., when a woman standing with a pack of men allegedly screamed the vile taunts, the Post reported.
Mohr took offense and told the rowdies their 9/11 insult was "disrespectful," his sister, Anna Mohr, 28, told the Post.

"Our other brother is a fireman, and my father is retired FDNY, so you can understand why a 9/11 comment would especially irk him," Anna said. "He was shocked anyone would actually say something like that."

Mohr, who lives in Auburndale, Queens, was walking alone from where a group of neighborhood friends had gathered in another part of the lot when he was jumped by up to seven people. At least one was wearing a Chiefs football jersey, a police source confirmed to the Post.

The lifelong Jet fan suffered a fractured jaw, cheekbone and eye socket, and also has bleeding on the brain.

Mohr underwent hours of surgery to repair the injuries Tuesday at New Jersey's Hackensack University Medical Center, where his family was keeping vigil.
"He's hanging in there and he's scheduled for surgery. We won't know too much until that's done," Anna Mohr said before surgery.

State troopers arrested one of the alleged attackers, a New Jersey man, on a simple assault charge, but a spokesman said the probe is continuing, the Post reported.

A stadium representative said, "This is an unacceptable attack on one of our guests and we have been working with the New Jersey State Police to make sure the man arrested is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

Every fan base has a few assholes. It's unfair to paint them all that way.

True, but How many People/ Fans would use 9/11 as Fuel vs. the other Team ?

You think a Bosox fan would say that to a Yankees fan ?
Probably say something Worst ... LOL but wouldn't do that.....

Bullshit! Pure Bullshit.

He got the shit kicked out of him for being an asshole so he had to make up a story so as not to look like the pussy he is.

Jets fans are the vilest lowest form of scum known in Jersey.

Dont know if the first part is true, but the second is. The jet/met fan could be the lowest form of scum I've seen in any group of fans.

And this story just another reason I stopped going to NFL games years ago, I'd say 70% of 'fans' that go are the lowest common denominator in our society.

So let me understand this. Because one guy in a group was wearing a Chiefs jersey, they were all Chiefs fans? I wasn't aware there was a big Chiefs' fan club in New Jersey.

I took out the KC fans things, as i guess it wouldn't be fair to say for sure they were truly KC fans.

Out of all the away football games I've been to, (Jets, Packers, Saints, Bears, Titans, Browns, Chargers) Jets fans were the biggest assholes, especially after the game.

First of all, who goes to a football game "alone". Second, his sister said he said it was "disrespectful" haha yea right I bet he had a monocle and a tophat on too being so polite. Sounds like a classic case of the guy was talking shit, someone else said something back, then he got his ass kicked. Im no math major but sometimes you gotta know when to walk away from a drunk douchebag.

it had nothing to do with chiefs fans,i recieved the arrowhead pride download about it and it had to do with one person wearing a chiefs jersey.it was not a group of KC fans upset about the game,i don't know what caused it but it was not a related incident about the game.

i myself went to a chiefs/jets game a few years ago and i was treated rather rude by jets fans so it would not be uncommon for a jets fan to have started something with a fan from the opposing team.i went to many chiefs home games and we don't treat fans like that we welcome them have fun and eat and drink.

but i don't want the chiefs to get labeled here for something they are not responsible for
