Rudy is one of my favorite movies of all time. The soundtrack is great. There are so many good scenes in movie. The movie took place when Notre Dame was still a great national power. Sure some of the story is fake. The scene I like the best is when Rudy's brother who was jealous at the end says "Rudy, you won" when he gets put in the game and carried off the field. He realized that if he had worked as hard as Rudy he would have gone on to college and played football.
Last September, former Notre Dame teammate Joe Montana debunked the image of Ruettiger as portrayed in the 1993 hit "Rudy," citing most of the film's heartwarming flourishes as Hollywood fluff perpetrated by Ruettiger himself, who lobbied for years to get the movie made. Their coach, Dan Devine, agreed to be portrayed as the "heavy" in the story to stoke the drama but has described the scene in which seniors stage a protest on Rudy's behalf by turning in their jerseys on Devine's desk as "unforgivable" and "a lie."
Can't say I am that sympathetic to some suckers that invested in a sports drink named "Rudy" that Rudy said sold 2 to 1 over Gatorade. If you believe that you might as well use your money for kindling in your fireplace.
Glad to see the SEC is spending their time on Rudy and his small time pump and dump scheme yet Corzine is walking around untouched after 1.2 BILLION dollars in customers funds are still missing.
