Imagine, w/Mbakwe injury, Royce White 6'8" 250 top Pts & Rebs for ISU, was best player on maybe the best HS tm EVER in Mn, off court probs. Berggren 6'10 @ Wisc. leading scorer & top 2 in reb, poor recruiting. Jordan Taylor maybe best PG in B10, @ Wisky too. Front line White, Mbakwe, Berggren, BC Taylor, Williams. Sampson off the bench. Top 5 Nat'l IMO. Oh well we all can dream. What happened to the days when the McHales & Winfields stayed home? Not to mention Larry Fitz, Pitt, Mike Floyd ND, etc.!:ohno::>(

I know you're just saying "what if" and not blaming Tubby, but it should be noted that both Berggen & Taylor were committed to Wisconsin before Tubby took the Minnesota job. We were the doormat of the B1G, Monson was on his way out, hard to blame those guys for heading to a winning team. Also not Tubby's fault Mbakwe got hurt or that Royce White couldn't stay out of trouble. White's going to have a great year at ISU & it's going to be thrown in Tubby's face all year. Fact is the kid had a really bad group on friends in Minnesota dragging him down & he never would have been sucessful here. Now at ISU he's away from those guys, has a new born baby & is finally on medication for his mental illness problems.

Speaking of "what if's"..."what if" Nolen & Walker had stayed healthy last year & Devoe would have stuck around? That was an Elite 8 team imo.
